Further along is the lovely Los Austrias neighbourhood with fantastic tapas bars in unexpected corners. Closer to home there are loads of restaurants, bars and pastry shops all with their specialties worth sampling. Also close to the apartment is the Opera, and just beyond the enormous Royal Palace and its surrounding park.
