Booking and Deposit

In order to confirm your booking, HomesForTravellers must receive the prepayment (Booking Deposit). The required prepayment amount depends on: the selected apartment, the number of guests and the length of your stay. This amount is shown in the price calculation and also on the online booking form.

Please note that the booking is not confirmed until the prepayment is received; you then receive the booking confirmation by email.

The remaining balance, along with the damage deposit, needs to be paid in cash upon arrival. Some apartments allow payment of the balance by credit card. The payment of the balance by credit card is charged at 4%. (Look up in the apartment's web if this option is available).

The person booking the apartment must be of age.

Security or Damage Deposit:

Upon arrival must pay a damage deposit, depending on the apartment, the number of guests and duration of your stay (this amount is shown in the calculation of price and also in the online booking form.) The damage deposit is refunded upon departure once the owner has inspected the apartment and found no damage and the apartment is delivered in a clean condition. If the damages exceed the amount paid, the guest is obliged to pay the difference. For stays of 30 days or more there is a minimum Damage Deposit of 500 euros.

In some apartments the damage deposit can be by customer's signed authorization to charge your credit card for any damages and cleaning costs if the apartment was left in poor condition.

The apartment will be reviewed after his departure and there will be a period of twenty days to check on the apartment and the operation of various devices. (Look up in the apartment's web if this option is available).

Cancellation or change

Cancellation fees depend on when the notice is given and are as follows:

- Notice given more than 30 days prior to arrival: 50% of the total balance;
- Notice given less than 30 days or no prior notice: 100% of the total balance.

Please note that the prepayment (Booking Deposit) is non-refundable, not even in the case of force majeure.

If you wish to make a change in your reservation, must notify HomesforTravellers by email.

To change the number of people: With fewer people, the outstanding balance remains the same. With more people, you must pay the supplement.

To increase or decrease the number of days of your stay: with fewer days, the outstanding balance remains the same. If you want to extend the duration of your stay, if the apartment is available, additional costs will be calculated based on daily rent.

The request for a change of dates or change to another apartment is considered a de facto cancellation. To change an apartment or dates, you must make a new booking and is subject to the Terms of HomesForTravellers .

All cancellations or changes must be made via email. Cancellations or changes by phone are not accepted.

HomesForTravellers recommends that the client purchase travel insurance with cancellation cover.

Arrival procedure

When you book an apartment, you receive the booking confirmation by email with instructions on how to organize your entry into the apartment. Please print a copy of the email and take it with you, containing all the information you need on arrival.

At least 3 days before date of arrival, must be sent by email the details of your arrival (flight number and / or estimated time of arrival). Also, on arrival date, must call the contact person (whose phone was provided in email booking confirmation) from the airport, once you have collected your luggage, to confirm the meeting time in the apartment. If driving, you should call the contact person at least one hour before the scheduled time of arrival. Please note that if you do not follow this procedure may result in you having to wait for your contact person and a delayed check-in.

On agreed hour, the person responsible for check-in will meet you at the apartment, will show the functioning of the equipment and give you the keys. You must pay the remaining balance and the amount of the damage deposit in Euros and sign a short-term rental contract.

Check in time is from 15:00h.
Check out time is until 11:00h.

Some apartments have an extra fee for Late check-in or for Early check-out . (See the apartment’s website).

During your stay

You are expected to treat your accommodation and all of its equipment with care. Any specific rules and regulations for the accommodation and its surroundings must be respected at all times.

If any damage is done to the accommodation or its equipment, you must inform the owner/manager immediately, so that repairs can be dealt with as soon as possible.

Upon arrival, you should check the condition of the apartment and communicate any discrepancies or deficiencies to the owner/manager within 24 hours of arrival. Failure to receive communication on time means accepting the status and condition of the apartment. Complaints after departure are not accepted.

The use of the apartment shall not be used for any purposes other than as residential accommodation. Commercial or immoral activities are strictly prohibited.

It is expected to show consideration and respect with their neighbors. As no property is completely soundproof, please be careful with the noise, especially at night.

Parties are strictly prohibited, and disturbing the neighbors by loud music or noise. In case of complaints from neighbors concerning music unduly high, or parties in the property, or if they have called the police, the owner / manager can evict the apartment at any time of day or night, without the client is entitled to receive any compensation or refund of amounts previously paid.

The person signing the rental agreement (the client) is expected to ensure that his/her guests will behave in a suitable manner. Should that person or his/her guests not behave in a suitably responsible manner, the owner/manager reserves the right to evict the client and his/her guests from the accommodation; thereby forfeiting the right to any compensation by the client.

The accommodation is cleaned prior to your arrival. The day of departure the client must leave the apartment tidy and reasonably clean. (kitchenware and kitchen clean and tidy, and no garbage in the apartment, etc.). The owner is entitled to charge additional fees if the accommodation is not left as such.

Number of guests

The client must book for the number of guests in the booking party. If this number varies during your stay, you must book for the highest number of persons that will occupy the accommodation. E.g. On booking an accommodation for four nights; If on two nights you have four persons and two nights you have three persons, you make the booking for four persons.

Unless otherwise agreed by the owner, only the number of guests indicated by the client in the booking are authorized to use the accommodation. The number of persons who may use the accommodation must not exceed its allocated capacity, except for children under three years old. In the event of any infringement of these obligations, the owner/manager is entitled to evict the client and his/her guests from the accommodation; thereby forfeiting the right to any compensation by the client.

Before arrival: In the event that the owner cannot provide you, the client, the apartment that was booked, HomesForTravellers will endeavour to find you a similar accommodation, subject to availability. If no agreement regarding to alternative accommodation, HomesFortravellers will refund the full prepayment for the booking. HomesForTravellers is not made liable for further claims by the client.

Neither HomesForTravellers nor the owner of the accommodation shall be made liable for any direct or indirect damages that may occur during the stay-period at the accommodation, including (but not exclusive to): injury to person or possessions, losses because of fire, theft or criminal behaviour.

Internet Service

The ADSL connection is a free service, subject to the limitations of a telecommunications company. Neither HomesForTravellers nor the owner of the accommodation shall be made liable, in any way, for any technical problems that do not depend on us.

In the event of any litigation concerning an accommodation booking with HomesForTravellers, the Courts in Spain have sole jurisdiction on such matters. Spanish law prevalent at the time will be applied.

HomesForTravellers provides an online booking service using accommodation owned by private owners. In this regard, HomesForTravellers is not responsible for potential delays, accidents, losses, change of schedule or rates, damages (neither for persons nor for objects), in its suppliers services. HomesForTravellers and its employees therein are therefore not responsible for: Errors and omissions; Misrepresentation by third parties; Personal damage or injury while staying in an accommodation booked through HomesForTravellers; Disputes between the client and a third party; Content of external links on its website.

The service of HomesForTravellers is limited to displaying accommodations and communication thereof, regarding making a booking, until booking confirmation is sent by email. The responsibility of HomesForTravellers is limited to the amount paid for the booking service.

Furthermore, HomesForTravellers is not part of the rental agreement; Any complaints must be directed to the owner/manager during the stay-period.

All information and resources regarding an accommodation are supplied by the accommodation owner. Although HomesForTravellers does its very best to verify and update the information as seen on the web site and associated webs, HomesForTravellers can not be made liable for its content. HomesForTravellers reserves the right to update information published on the site at any time including (but not exclusive to): rates, descriptions and photographs. HomesForTravellers does not guarantee condition or suitability of any product or service as advertised on its website.

HomesForTravellers reserves the right to update its terms and conditions at any time as required. It is the responsibility of parties using the HomesForTravellers service, to review these terms and conditions in case of change. By agreeing to use the HomesForTravellers service, it is inferred that any changes are accepted by all parties and that all parties comply with these changes.
